Greenbreaking Event

On July 2, 2009, Woodlands Perryville held a unique "Greenbreaking" event... our alternative to the traditional groundbreaking associated with most real estate developments. With informational exhibits from local partner companies such as Pfister Energy, Finish Werks, and Harmony Construction, the day was a celebration of new and innovative methods for "green" development. The event was well-attended by local residents, government officials and business leaders. There were family-friendly games and events along with free hot dogs, ice cream and face-painting! The event was highlighted by the dedication and planting of a beautiful Sweet Bay Magnolia tree by Perryville Mayor Jim Eberhardt and several volunteers from Fair Hill Nature Center. The tree was graciously donated to the Town of Perryville by Michael Morgan of Heartwood Landscaping. The planting of a tree, instead of cutting them down, was symbolic of Town Point Development's approach to responsible real estate development.
